Our strategic policy

Recognized as a tourist resort and tourist commune, Mougins has been able to derogate from the NOTRe law (article 69) by maintaining a municipal tourist office in the form of a SPA Tourisme. Marked “Qualité tourisme” and classified in category I by prefectoral decree dated November 24, April 2016, renewed in 2021, the tourist office has set itself the goal of aiming for excellence and obtaining renewal of its classification in 2026.

The Tourist Office, in close partnership with the local authority, defines and implements a structured, shared and evolving tourism policy, fully in line with the Destination d’Excellence (DEX) label. This strategy, which is reassessed at least every three years, is based on the principles of continuous improvement, service quality, sustainability and excellence in customer experience. It will be reviewed after the municipal elections of March 2026, in order to be readjusted and validated in consultation with the new municipal team. This update will ensure that the tourism strategy is consistent with the region’s political orientations, while guaranteeing the continuity of commitments linked to the Destination d’Excellence label.

Our strategic priorities

Mougins’ tourism policy is based on three key pillars, all of which contribute to the town’s identity and positioning as a destination of excellence:

– Sport and nature

These priorities form the basis of the Tourist Office’s actions in terms of welcoming, promoting, developing the offer and encouraging local players. In line with the requirements of the Destination d’Excellence label, the Tourist Office places the quality of its welcome and the personalization of its information at the heart of its actions. Reception, information and services Reception is professional, accessible and multi-channel, enabling us to support visitors at every stage of their visit (before, during and after their stay).

The Tourist Office ensures :

– Provide reliable, up-to-date information tailored to customer expectations

– Offer personalized advice to encourage discovery of the region and local tourism consumption

– Develop qualitative guided tours and themed experiences

– Monitor and analyze tourist numbers using management tools

Particular attention is paid to accessibility for all, notably through the Tourisme & Handicap approach, to guarantee an inclusive and equitable experience.
